Salty Heifer cattle are raised on the family ranch that is recognized as a Historic Texas Ranch having been in agricultural production for more than 100 years. Fifth and sixth generation family members are now helping run the ranch and that means something special to us at the Salty Heifer. We take pride in our production and in its heritage and that means better overall quality for you!


21 day dry-aged

Salty Heifer Beef is always dry aged because of the incomparable taste and texture this process renders. Dry aging is a process by which the whole carcass is hung and allowed to age in a climate controlled atmosphere for several weeks before being cut. This allows the beef to develop flavor and makes it far more tender than what you would find in the grocery store. The dry aging process is more time consuming and is more costly to produce, but it renders beef that is uncompromising.
